About Scott

About ScottOver the years, Scott Millns brought a number of bikes to the BikeDynamics Leamington Studio. One such visit in 2019 included a conversation about Mike’s retirement plans. Planting a seed in Scott’s mind on the prospect of taking on the BikeDynamics business. This seed quickly grew into full succession planning with training starting in the Autumn of 2019. Covid lockdown provided an opportunity for more study and research. By Autumn 2020, initial training was concluded and premises found.

The next chapter ‘BikeDynamics Hinckley’ opened to customers in early 2021. During the Covid Lockdowns, Scott set up the Mobile Bike Mechanic business and went out on the road to service people’s bikes at their homes or workplace. As the businesses have developed, more and more customers have asked Scott to service their bike or build a new bike to their exact requirements. To bring all the services offered under one roof and reduce the diary management of running both Mobile Bike Mechanic and BikeDynamics (Hinckley) we have brought them together in one place as Fit My Bike.

Continued Development

About UsScott has continued to develop both himself and the bike fitting service. The studio boasts some of the latest technology and equipment to help make the process both efficient and interesting. This includes updated motion capture technology that captures the rider in full 3D from all sides at once.

A lot of bike fitters can only capture information from one side at a time. This new technology helps the discussion and aids the understanding of the riders position through powerful visualisations that can be viewed on screen.

Other new technologies, such as saddle pressure sensing mats, enable the cyclist to see how there weight is distributed across a particular saddle allowing comparisons to be made, whilst pedalling analysis can help ensure that pedalling technique is as efficient as possible.

International Bike Fitting Institute (IBFI)

As well as training under Mike’s watchful eye, Scott has been accepted as a member of the International Bike Fitting Institute (IBFI) receiving certification from industry peers such as Tony Corke, Neils Boon and Stephan De Schutter.

Not wanting to get left behind on understanding the mechanics of modern bikes, Scott successfully passed both the Certificate and Diploma in Cycle Maintenance form Cycle Systems Academy. This enables him to work safely on your bike and make adjustments.
